Cardboard bicycle

Idezeen_Cardboard-Bike-by-Izhar-Gafni_6n 2012 Israeli inventor Izhar Gafni created a prototype cardboard bicycle.  The design requires no metal parts; with even the brake mechanism and pedal bearings made from recycled substances, waterproofed with lacquer paint.  Though sceptics doubted the bike’s feasibility, it is now available to pre-order on crowd-funding website Indiegogo.  Once the bike reaches mass production, it would cost no more than $20 to buy and would revolutionise transport in the developing world.
